Belmont Project

Welcome to the Belmont House, a duplex in Sarasota Florida, that my husband and I purchased with the purpose of remodelling it into a beautiful rental oasis. Despite navigating a very tight budget and timeline, our commitment to design excellence shaped every decision we made.

In the larger of the two units, we strategically directed our budget to maximize impact. The focal point of our renovation efforts was on the kitchen, where we invested in a complete overhaul, removing the wall between the kitchen and the living room. This decision was transformative, instantly infusing the space with an open, airy feel. The heart of the home now boasts a spacious peninsula that is not only functional but a stylish focal point, providing seating for four and a sociable atmosphere.

This design choice had a ripple effect, enhancing the overall flow of the main living space. We carefully chose furnishings and a harmonious color palette that would complement the newfound openness and the coastal atmosphere of the home.

Beyond the kitchen, we extended our attention to the bedrooms, updating the flooring for a cohesive look. The bathroom received a tasteful facelift, and a fresh coat of paint revitalized every room. Thoughtful furnishings and accessory choices completed the rental, for a perfect balance between style and comfort.

The Belmont House was definitely a challenging project where strategic design, budgeting, and a passion for transformation converged to redefine this rental living space in sunny Sarasota, Florida. It was a project that we absolutely loved doing and we look forward to working on another sometime soon.
